How we think begins with a look under the hood at what we value as an agency. Below is a summary of our beliefs, a fundamental barometer of what we see as important and therefore, what it's like to work with us.
The Brand
We believe brands are the most important asset a client owns. Brand reputations and emotional connective tissue are the basis of all successful relationships with consumers. By virtue of this belief, we know that the long-term legacy of this agency will be built upon our ability to help build and grow strong brands. This is what we are in business to do.
Study
We call it "The Deep Dig." Study is at the core of all value presented by an intellectual property business like ours. As a consultancy, it is vital to the value of our client interactions that we make study of our clients' business issues and challenges an ingrained practice for all team members.
Research
Consumer Insight. Consumers control the marketplace. It is incumbent upon us to push for deeper understanding and insights into consumer interests, desires and behavior. Only then can we legitimately shape messaging that is based on aligning client brand benefits with the wants and concerns of those we are trying to reach.
Ideas
We are on a relentless search for epiphany. Our business is built on ideas -- and strategic ideas come from study and insight. Strong ideas can transform companies and brands. Therefore, it is at the core of what we believe that breaking new ground, sailing into uncharted territory and connecting dots that are not necessarily linear is the foundation of our business strategy.
News mindset and respect
Editorial Sensibility. We are religious about this! Our approach to communications is founded on the belief that persuasion occurs when the consumer is engaged (listening) and when influential sources (earned media) they trust endorse what we want to convey about product benefits. We know editorial media is a different animal. How we go about packaging and presenting information to editors and reporters is key to victory. We endeavor to think, act and operate like the editorial sources we wish to reach out to.
Business results
Our goal as an agency is to drive business results. At the foundation of all client spending in communications is an assumption, stated or not, that the investment will result in growth. As an agency focused entirely on consumer brands and businesses, and devoted to all aspects of effective marketing practice, we believe there is only one true test, one ultimate goal for the efforts we make growing sales and market share. All other issues fall behind this imperative.
Relationship management
We are a service business. We work at the behest of client organizations. Successful business relationships are founded on mutual trust and respect. Communication, genuineness, good listening skills, empathy, candor, transparency, effort, caring, investment and courage are all part of the human side of our interactions. That said we, on behalf of our clients, inevitably work for the consumer and the brand. We endeavor to invest in our personal relationships with clients while never losing sight of that imperative.
